二处的破折号都是引出同位语。to not take是不定式的一种否定形式，大约等于not to take. 因为后面还有并列的不定式，而不定式都是ability的定语，所以第一个不定式的否定形式就用了ability to not do. 不然后面的不定式都成了否定不定式了。
