适当的讲解是：把一天当中的时刻分为几段，然后加定冠词表示类指。每当说起这类时间词组时，都了解每一个说法是指任何一天当中的 “上午、下午、晚上”。假如具体指某一天的“上午、下午、晚上”，特指时用定冠词，不特指用不定冠词，介词用 on 不需要 in，表示特定的某一天的这个时间段。比如：
We got the news on the morning of the wedding.
大家在举行结婚典礼的那天上午得到这个消息。

at 后的时间名词，一般表示很准确的“时间钟点”。类似大家表达的钟点：at ten 一样。比如： at noon 在中午12点；at midnight 在午夜12点。at dawn 和 at dusk，也是很明确的时间点。
at night 可能是一个“特殊状况”。
