请问老师，名词从句是否都可以转换成一个名词后加定语从句的形式呢？譬如说He isnt what he used to be.可是换成He isnt the person that he used to be.这个句式就是这么换的，是否常见适用呢？若是的话，为何英语还要做出现这两种从句种类呢？谢谢
英语出现这两类型型的从句是由它们的性质所决定的。what he used to be是名词性从句作表语；而the person that he used to be中的person是表语，that引导定语从句。what引导的名词性从句时，可将what视为融合型关系代词。关于这一点可参考以下链接：
