下面两句均摘自高中英语北师大版必学三的第40页：
1.Last August, city officials interviewed about 500 residents to find out people’sattitudes to protecting the environment and what actions they had taken.
2.Unfortunately, not as many who took part had taken action to save water and energy in their homes.
上面两句为何一个用的是take acitions，另一个用的是take action 呢？如此用的action 用单数或复数都可以吗？有没不同？
take action 和 take actions 都可以说，但从用状况来看，前者远比后者容易见到。不过，也有词典只网站收录了 take actions 而没网站收录 take action，如《牛津英语近义词学习词典》的actions词条，就只列了to take actions / measures / steps。
