in case 可以引导的状语从句，一般可以参考具体状况用语境所需要的任何时态（容易见到的例外是，当从句表示以后意义时，一般用通常目前时表示以后意义）。如：
In case they’re late, we can always sit in the bar. 如果他们来晚了，大家总可以在夜店里坐一坐。
We’ll have to watch the children in case they get too tired. 大家得照看着孩子，不要让他们太累了。
