（2）假如through a forest 是地址状语，run after two men是一个整体为何可以分开呢?我从没看到不及物动词可以和介词加宾语是可以分开的?

我的疑问2: while当什么什么时间本身动作是在同一时间，为何用过去完成时（they had rushed up to her）?
before they had had rushed up to her，she was having...岂不是更好?

我的疑问3:为何不是翻译成他们拔腿穿过森林?而是他们他们拔腿跑进森林，through明明是穿过之意，假如如此的话，用into岂不更好?
1）she ran through a forest after two men.
第一句话给人的感觉是：她在森林里跑，再补充交待“是在两个男性后面”，具体离两个男性有多远，并没画面感。
2）she ran after two men through a forest.
第二句话给人的画面感比较强烈了，她非常可能就在两个男性后面追着他们跑
至于你说的用and，我看不出任何成立的原因，加上and后是哪两个成分并列呢？

因为作者是用一种倒叙手法，所以用had才不会你读的时候在时间上产生错觉。没had，你读的时候感觉是“她追两个男性”，然后“两个男性冲向了她”，显然和全文不符。

至于翻译就不计较了，毕竟再好的翻译和原文还是有出入的。
